Questions founders ask before the first suit.

What is the minimum order?
One piece. Your first order can be a single sample suit, and every order after that can be a single suit for a single client. You never have to buy stock.
What does a suit cost me?
Per two-piece suit, ex works Shanghai: CMT with your own cloth from 100 USD, full package with our cloth from 155 USD, and half canvas full package from 185 USD. Shipping and import duties come on top. Full canvas is quoted per order.
How long does a suit take?
14 days in production, counted from the day your order is confirmed. Shipping time is added on top and depends on where the suit is going.
Where are the suits made?
In our own workshop in Shanghai, China. The workshop was founded in 1996 and has about 200 house tailors. The label in each suit states the country of origin.
Can my own label go in the suit?
Yes. That is the whole point of private label: your label goes in the garment and your client sees your name. The country of origin is also stated on the label.
Can I send my own cloth?
Yes. That is CMT (cut, make, trim), from 100 USD per two-piece suit ex works Shanghai. You send the cloth, we cut and make the suit.
What cloth can I offer my clients?
We cut cloth from 33 mills and cloth merchants, 26 of them in Europe. We hold 162 Zegna styles in Shanghai and stock Vitale Barberis Canonico. Our house book, Corsini LANA Four Seasons, has 85 fabrics in 280 g Australian merino. Some merchants, such as Söktaş and Ariston, are special order only.
Which constructions can I sell?
Fused, half canvas and full canvas. Half canvas full package starts from 185 USD per two-piece suit. Ask us for a full canvas quote.
How do I measure my clients and send orders?
You place orders on our online ordering platform, which runs in five languages. It has 47 measurement fields, 31 of them required. If you are new to measuring, you can start with your client’s height and weight and the platform suggests sizes for you to adjust.
Can you ship straight to my client?
Yes. We can send the finished suit to your client’s home, hotel or office, anywhere in the world, under your brand name. Shipping time and cost are added to the ex works price.
Who pays import duties?
The buyer, at the rate of the buyer’s own country. Our prices are ex works Shanghai and do not include duties.
Do you make a single suit for someone who just wants one for himself?
No. Cultura Privé works with people who sell suits under their own label. If you want one suit for yourself, a local tailor will serve you better.
